The OxyDerm provides three different approaches to microdermabrasion skin resurfacing: traditional white crystals, Organic and Flower Grains, and the Crystal Free Diamond Head Wand. It also provides Oxygen infusion therapy, a great addition to skin care technology.

When you infuse the skin with Liquid Oxygen either after microdermabrasion or, as a stand alone treatment, the result is a glowing renewed complexion. It’s a fact that by the age of 30 skin has already lost over 25% of its oxygen and by age 40 – 50 the skins ability to consume and retain oxygen has been impaired. This loss of oxygen results in more wrinkles, fine lines and dull looking skin. This can be countered by O2 infusions, especially when done on an ongoing basis.

When O2 infusions follows microdermabrasion, the jet stream propulsion of our synergistic blends of focused corrective ingredients target each skins individual needs. With the skin surface now open deeper penetration and greater assimilation of product, with all its healing rejuvenating propertities and powerful anti-oxidant free radical fighters, is enhanced. The results are always positive and the ability to add-on fees (average add on charge is $50) provide a great opportunity to expand your aesthetic services.

The DIAMOND Liquid Oxygen Infusion System provides for deep penetration of Skin’rgy O2 Infusion products down into the pores and sub dermal area of the epidermis. The Skin’rgy O2 Infusion Infusion System incorporates 4 unique and specifically combined formulas which combine a matrix of small bio-available liquid oxygen, trace minerals and select natural and highly active ingredients to provide your client with the specific solution to maximize their next level of skin care therapy.

The best possible time for Liquid Oxygen Infusion would be post Microdermabrasion treatments. Select the Product which will benefit your client (more than 1 product can be selected, yet you must do the infusions separately-smaller amounts would be used if this is the decision).

  1. Open the Infusion ampoule on top of the aeration gun and pour approx. 1/2 teaspoon into the container. Close the container tightly.
  2. Turn the Oxy System on and you will notice the Infusion Dial will increase to 300 to 500 PSI. You are now ready to infuse the liquid into your client’s skin. If the compressor does not engage immediately, there may be air remaining in the tank from the last treatment. Press the trigger to release the air until you see the dial needle move to 0. When the dial needle stops at 0 the system will engage immediately.
  3. Begin at the forehead and depress the tiger fully to saturate the skin with the selected product. You must get comfortable with the trigger operation and the timing for full trigger expression which will deliver product onto the skin and ½ trigger expression which will deliver only air pressure. The continual trigger adjustment of full and ½ will saturate as well as deliver the product deep into the epidermis. Move the tip of the hand piece directly on the skin. You want the air pressure as well as the product to go onto the skin directly without any distance between the tip and the skin to maximize the delivery. Move back and forth along the entire forehead. You may find it comfortable for the client to cover the eyes with a tissue, paper towel, eye patches or eye covers.
  4. Continue the treatment onto the cheeks moving in an eraser type action to saturate and penetrate the skin with the liquid formula.
  5. You will continue to infuse the remaining areas of the face (i.e. chin, upper lip and nose). You may also include the lips and lip area which will provide for a plumping effect.
  6. At this time you have completed the Liquid Oxygen Infusion Treatment.

IF you need to use multiple Liquid Oxygen Infusions, repeat these steps with the alternate products.

Blocked Oxygen hand piece:

If the infusions will not flow through tee Oxy Pro hand piece, clean the container by passing hot water through it via the spray nozzle. If this will still not work use the spanner provided to detach the spray nozzle after first removing the spray nozzle cover.

Blocked Oxygen hand piece still not resolved:

This is unlikely scenario, however the measures to fix the blockage are simple and effective. Unscrew the metal hand piece tip. Using the hand piece spanner, unscrew the injection module, one must exercise extreme caution when dealing with the delicate injection needle system.  Soak unassembled unit in boiling water. Reassemble.

System will not start:

If the machine is switched off and will not restart release the internal pressure through the Oxy Pro hand piece.

Leaking pressure:

If leaking pressure is present, check to ensure hand piece tubing is connected firmly and correctly at both the hand piece and the Oxy Pro system.

What is the benefit of Microdermabrasion Treatments?

Microdermabrasion is the gentle exfoliation of the top layer of skin removing the dead cells from the surface and at the same time rejuvenating blood cells underneath the dermal layer, stimulating collagen and assisting the body’s ability to restore elasticity. The treatment is fast and virtually pain-free, gentle yet effective

How does Microdermabrasion work?

The Diamond™ Microdermabrasion system uses suction and an exfoliating mineral which is delivered through a hand piece in a steady, effective stream onto the skin. The minerals and old surface skin are immediately pulled up with the suction action resulting in smooth, fresh rejuvenated skin.

When will I see results of my treatment?

After your 1st treatment, your face will look radiant and refreshed. The skin will feel noticeably softer and smoother. Fine lines will begin to diminish and the color and tone of the skin will be more blended.

How will my face look after treatment?

Your face will look slightly blushed and radiant. There is no reddening, flaking or peeling post treatment. Treatment time is about 30-45 minutes per session. Great for a lunch time peel!

Why do I need a series of treatments and how often?

Due to the process of Microdermabrasion, the gentle peeling removes a top layer of dead skin each time. The suction power stimulates the red blood cells and collagen underneath the skin. Think of it as layers of an onion-each time you remove a layer-supple onion underneath is exposed. As you remove layer by layer, the supple skin underneath rises to the surface. After a series of treatments, the red blood cells and collagen you began stimulating your 1st treatment are now at the top and are supple and full of energy. This is the process that diminishes the fine lines and wrinkles.

How do I maintain the effects of treatment?

Once your series of treatments are complete, maintenance to keep your skin healthy and balanced would be a Microdermabrasion treatment every 3 to 4 weeks. Your face will begin to feel tired and clogged and you will desire that refreshed feeling once again. If you are being treated for a serious skin condition, your skin care professional will advise you of the best protocol for optimum results.

If my skin is sensitive or if I have problem skin, how can Microdermabrasion help me?

Your skin care professional can regulate the power of the Diamond™ Microdermabrasion system to accommodate all types of skin. They have been thoroughly trained to evaluate your skin and determine the exact level of exfoliation required. Microdermabrasion will assist in the areas of aging sun damaged skin, acne or accidental injury scars, altered pigmentation, stretch marks, fine lines, and enlarged or clogged pores.

What is the age range to begin Microdermabrasion treatments?

With any skin care program the sooner you begin to assist your body in its ability to retain its healthy state the better. Adolescents can be treated for problem skin and to control skin breakouts, middle age clients to keep skin in balance, and older aged clients to maintain cell rejuvenation. On average, we renew our skin surface very 10 days. However, with age, poor health or lack of care, cell renewal may be considerably slower. Regular Diamond™ Microdermabrasion Treatments improve many skin conditions and imperfections to create a healthy, balanced skin surface. You will be amazed to see your skin respond so quickly!
